At press conference here Tuesday, he said "allegations were leveled in holy month of Ramzan as he (Khawaja Asif) knew this is when SKCMH collects majority of its donations. By hurling allegations lives of cancer patients has been put at risk. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif was hiding behind Khawaja Asif and Ch. Nisar. Imran asked Nawaz Sharif reply to his eleven questions.
PTI Chairman appealed Chief Justice of Supreme Court Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take notice of these allegations. He said Shaukat Khanum Trust was to break ground on another cancer hospital in Peshawar and also construct one in Karachi if provided land.
“As elections are near, PML-N leaders are going to target SKCMH to malign my name. If Khawaja Asif is truthful, then case should be dealt with by the apex court so that situation is made clear before the nation. PML-N wants to damage my credibility and ruin SKCMH like it did in the past. Allegations caused damage to funds collection for the biggest charity hospital in the country," Imran Khan stated.
Answering a question, he said, “Khawaja Asif knew that donations and funds are collected mainly in Ramzan and making such allegations during this month would affect the campaign. From where will we get money from if donations are frozen? What will happen to poor cancer patients who are provided free treatment?”

According to PTI Chairman every year Rs 2 billion were spent on the free treatment of poor patients admitted in SKCMH.
