Mangoes's export to start soon: Fruit exporter

Talking to PTV, he said mangoes are selling on large scale in the metroploliton city of Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, simultaneously and people have shown thier keen interest towards this fruit.

He said for the sale of these special type of mangoes in the market we do need subsidal which calls hot weeper treatment in which we also need support from the government.

Waqar Sheikh said the proper export of mangoes will be statred from mid june and it is also expected that its price may be increased due to its enormous popularity amongst the people.

A report prepared by Ali Mehdi from Karachi says that Pakistan is cosidered 4rth for producing large amonut of mangoes and there is also no match of good quality mangoes as compared to the rest of the world.

The report depicts that this year the mangoes production will reach to 17 tons.

"The famous kinds of mangoes are sindri, chousa, anwar ratol, and one carten of first and second class mangoes are selling in local market at the cost of 350 or 450 rupees with 150 as a cost of tax on it", report highlights.

It is also found out that the best quality mangoes are rarely availble in the markets of United States and Japan.
