KARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals, arrested 18 accused from various areas of the city during the past 24 hours.
A statement on Thursday said that those arrested included absconders and proclaimed offenders.
It said that five gangs of criminals were smashed by the police and as many encounters also took place during the period.
In all, 12 pistols, one dagger and three mobile phones were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
The police have registered cases against the accused and started investigation.
