An accountability court adjourned on Monday the hearings of Ashiana Housing scam and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases till May 11 due to the absence of Judge Naeemul Hassan.

During the hearing, conducted by a duty judge accepted the exemption plea of Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif from today's case proceedings, local media reported. However, Hamza Shehbaz appeared before the court.

The father-son duo have already been indicted in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case. The National Accountability Bureau  has accused Shehbaz of using public funds for the construction of a bridge linking to their mills in Chiniot, Punjab.

Shehbaz has already been indicted in the Ashiana Housing scheme case for corruption. The Lahore High Court has granted bail to the PML-N president and Hamza in the corruption cases.
