ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Wednesday adjourned the hearing of the case regarding Lal Masjid till May 2.

A division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case regarding extra Judicial killings of innocent persons in the premises of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.

During the course of proceedings, Tariq Asad counsel for Lal Masjid appeared before the bench and sought adjournment in the case.

The court accepted the plea and adjourned hearing of the case without proceedings.

Attorney General for Pakistan Anwar Mansoor Khan appeared before the bench on behalf of the federal government.
