ISLAMABAD: Sindh government Wednesday submitted its reply in the Qingqi rickshaws case and said steps had been taken to make rickshaws journey safe.

Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department secretary submitted the reply and said Sindh Excise and Taxation Department had registered 208 Qingqi motorcycle rickshaws.

The reply said nine more routes had been identified by Karachi Regional Transport Authority in addition to earlier six notified routes.

The 147 route points had been issued against the notified routes for operating of Qingqi rickshaws, the reply added.

The reply further said 320 Qingqi motorcycle rickshaws owners contacted the Excise and Transport Department yet.
