Haripur will be made a model district: Umer Ayub
HARIPUR: Federal Minister for Water and Power Umer Ayub Khan on Tuesday said that the government was bringing mega developmental projects in Haripur to make it a model district in Pakistan.
He said this while addressing a public gathering at village Kheeri UC Kalinger of Haripur after the inauguration of Kheeri road.
The minister further said that to raise the living standard of the masses is their mission. Electricity feeder, poles, transformers and Sui gas would be provided after Ramadan to the UC Kalinger.
Talking about the PML-N and PPP governments he said that their inefficiency burdened the country under huge loans, during 2007. The total debt of Pakistan was Rs 7000 billion while another addition upto Rs 15000 billion was made during the PPP government and doubled during the PML-N government.
The minister disclosed that PTI led government is working day and night for the development of the country, only Wapda has earned 51 billion rupees during 4 four months and has also registered 30000 FIRs against electricity theft, 4000 electricity thieves were arrested and sent them jail.
He said that the country is changing under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan for betterment. PM is very is sincere and keen to put the country on the right path of progress and development, he added.
