CM pays surprise visit to various offices in Khanewal

KHANEWAL: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid surprise visits to different offices in Khanewal here on Tuesday and ordered officials to be punctual and serve people.

Soon after arrival, the CM went to city police station where he checked 'Roznamcha' (daily diary) and expressed his concerns after finding that those locked there had not been mentioned in the record. He also talked to the detainees.

Sardar Usman Buzdar then visited the office of deputy commissioner, where he checked attendance of officers and the other staff and suspended district officer (industries) over negligence.

He also visited the Irrigation and Education departments offices and ordered for deputing some alternative official to look after the official affairs during the training period of executive engineers.

Usman Buzdar also visited Daar-ul-Amaan, where he checked kitchen and asked officials to improve food quality. He ordered that women and children living in Daar-ul-Amaan be provided milk, biscuits and sweets also.

The Punjab chief minister said on the occasion that officials lacking passion to serve people would no more be tolerated and added that every official would have to show performance.
