QUETTA: The local administrations, on special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan, retrieved government land worth Rs hundreds of millions from the illegal occupation of land mafia.

During special campaign against anti-encroachment, the lands retrieved in different areas included 19 acres worth Rs 2370 in Quetta, 8 acres worth Rs 38 million in Zhob, 4 acres worth Rs 30 million in Sibi, 200,000 square feet area worth Rs 187 million in Nasirabad, 150,000 square feet worth Rs, 174 million in Kalat, 33 acres worth Rs 56 million in Drakhshan division and 59 acres worth Rs 65 million in Makran district by local administrations, said press release issued here.

Overall 1500 acres of residential, commercial and agricultural land was retrieved which was estimated total cost of Rs, 5375 million in market, during the operation.
