Meanwhile, six more ships carrying containers coal, chemicals, palm oil and LNG also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of nine ships occupied berth at PQ to load/offload containers coal, General Cargo, soya bean seeds and palm oil.
Out of them, two container ships MOL Generosity and Maersk Kensington sailed out to sea on Thursday, and four more ships including APL Savannah, Argent, Sunrise Seacon-8 and NCC Same are expected to sail on the same day in the afternoon.
A cargo volume of 135,374 tonnes comprising 81,167 tonnes and 54,207 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,924 containers (TEUs) (2,071 TEUs imports and 2,853 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Seven ships including Maersk Bentonville, MSC Elsa-3, Tempanos, Asia Ruby, Aziz Torlac, Melati-6 and Marangas Asclepius carrying Containers, Coal, Palm oil and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, MW-1, LCT and EETL respectively on Thursday.
