The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced the accused before the AC.
The NAB officials told the court that the accused was serving as director of the company which had been involved in the fake accounts case, besides working with the Park Lane company of former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The officials informed the court that the accused had taken a loan of Rs1.5 billion from the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and then got increased his assets to Rs3.5 billion through illegal means.
The accused's counsel said NAB summoned his client on phone and then arrested him. He prayed the court to allow the accused, who was a heart patient, to meet his family.
The court granted 14-day physical remand of accused to NAB and also allowed him to meet his family members.
