Crime rate continues to rise in Islamabad

The incidents of vehicle theft, robbery, burglary, snatching at gunpoint and kidnapping have been witnessed a significant increase during the last week in the federal capital, belying tall claims of police that they have busted many criminal gangs. According to data gathered by Business Recorder through registered FIRs, 11 cases of motor vehicle theft, over 10 cases of various kinds of theft including robbery, burglary and snatching at gunpoint and six cases of kidnapping were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week.
The most favourite areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Lohi Bher, Golra, Aabpara, Karachi Company, Industrial Area, Golra and Khanna police stations. Aabpara police station registered two cases of robbery and one case of auto theft. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number AGP-801 of Muhammad Aqeel. Imran Ahmed informed Aabpara police station that two armed robbers snatched cash and mobile phone from him at gunpoint.
Another Tahir Khalil lodged a complaint with Aabpara police station that unidentified robbers stole cash, prize bonds and other valuables from his house. During the last week, Lohi Bher police station registered two cases of robbery and one case of carjacking. Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number DS-516 of one Nauman.
Another Muhammad Pervez lodged a complaint with Lohi Bher police station that unknown robbers stole gold ornaments, cash and other valuables form his house while another Sajjad Muneer informed the same police station that accused Mubashir Hussain stole gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from his house. Golra police station registered two cases of auto theft and one case of robbery. Ahmad Nazeer lodged a complaint with Golra police station that unknown robbers stole cash, LED and gold ornaments from his house.
Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike (APR-679) of Waseem Ahmad and also lifted another bike (SN-972) of Syed Zardard. Khanna police station registered two cases of robbery during the last week. Sajid Ali lodged a complaint with Khanna police station that unidentified robbers stole cash and mobile phone from him. Another Nazeer Fatima informed Khanna police station that unidentified robbers stole cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from his house.
Industrial Area police station registered one case each of kidnapping and auto theft. Asia Batol lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police station that accused Iftikhar kidnapped his daughter. Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number RIB-803 of Kamran Miraj. During the last week, Karachi Company police station registered one case each of snatching and kidnapping. One Sheheryar filed a complaint with Karachi Company police station that unknown bike riders snatched cash, mobile phone and CNIC card from him.
