On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,350. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.222 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,709.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.544 billion followed by gold PKR 1.172 billion, DJ PKR 1.010 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 858.240 million, silver PKR 288.615 million, platinum PKR 171.471 million, natural gas PKR 76.195 million, NSDQ100 PKR 58.772 million, copper PKR 27.296 million SP500 PKR 10.849 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.528 million. In agricultural commodities 9 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 4.123 million and 18,465 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 3.249 million were traded.
