I would like to express my gratitude to the management of Sindh Board of Investment for organising its 6th edition of Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries, Poultry & Agriculture Exhibition & Seminar, Horse, Cattle and Flower Show (LDFA) at Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam. Sindh Enterprise Development Fund since its inception is fully committed to its mission of introducing technology and bringing value addition in unconventional yet vital sectors of the economy by extending technical and credit assistance.
Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) in previous years has successfully exhibited the event and provided a platform to the Livestock and Fisheries Department for presenting the existing breeds of Animals and highlighting the modern technologies adopted in Livestock and fisheries sectors to visitors and investors.
The key objective of the Livestock and Fisheries Department is to attain food security and poverty alleviation of the masses by increasing livestock and export of surplus meat and fish. The Department is striving for enhancement of livestock, poultry and fisheries production through timely initiatives to control diseases, introduce high yielding breeds, preserve domestic breeds and increase the stocks and products by introducing new technologies and value chains.
This Department has taken initiatives for the implementation of E-Governance system and public private partnership for Livestock farms. There are abundant opportunities in the Livestock and Fisheries sectors which can attract investment and this event will pave the way to exploring such avenues by the visitors to the exhibition.
