Mari Petroleum Company has posted Rs 1,846.449 millions profit after tax in the three month period ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 585.111 millions earned in the corresponding period in 2015.
The Company's earning per share increased to Rs 16.75 in the period under review against Rs 5.31 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Friday at Islamabad recommended first interim cash dividend at Rs 3.00 per share ie 30 percent. According to the financial results sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the Company's gross sales to customers increased to Rs 23.797 billion in this quarter against Rs 22.884 billion in the same quarter a year back while net sales after payment of gas development surcharge, general sales tax, excise duty, gas infrastructure development cess and wind fall levy stood at Rs 5.796 billion in three months period in 2016 against Rs 4.447 billion in same period in 2015.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 2,357.264 million in this quarter against Rs 619.996 million in the same quarter a year back. The company's profit after tax for the nine month period ended December 31, 2016 increased to Rs 4.612 billion translating earning per share of Rs 41.83 as compared to PAT of Rs 2.054 billion with EPS of Rs 18.63 in the same period in 2015.
