A World Bank delegation headed by Business Environment Reforms Consultant, World Bank Group, Tim Vickery, on Friday visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The delegation held a meeting with the FPCCI office-bearers including the regional chairman Manzoor-ul-Haq Malik and shared its views on online feedback mechanism for policy makers engaged in the Business Environment Reforms in Punjab besides analysing the existing public private dialogue structures in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik appreciated the WB role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan. "It is not easy for businessmen to deal with 40 regulatory bodies to run their business in Pakistan," he said.
He suggested that an interactive online portal should be developed to maintain a continuous and sustainable feed-back system between private sectors' stakeholders and the policy makers to ensure a conductive policy environment for business in the country.
