Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Syed Mansoor Ali Shah here on Friday adjourned the proceedings till January 30 in a petition challenging the government notifications of giving control of OGRA, NEPRA, PEPRA and Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) to their respective ministries. The court directed attorney general of Pakistan to submit present arguments on next date of hearing.
The petitioner, a bar member Sheraz Zaka said that the impugned notifications were issued without getting approval from the council or common interest and cabinet.
He said that the impugned notification was violation of article 154 of the Constitution. He asked the court to declare the notifications in question as null and void.
