Plan to smuggle foreign currency foiled

The Khasadar force foiled a bid of smuggling of foreign currency from Pakistan to Afghanistan at Torkham border on Friday. Naib Tehsildar Torkham, Shams-ul-Islam said that on duty Khasadar personnel stopped an Afghan national for a routine checking. During search, cash of 900,000 Saudi Riyals concealed in wheat bags were recovered from his possession. He was identified as Naeem Shah s/o Shundi Gul, resident of Achin district of Ningrahar province of Afghanistan.
A case has been registered against him and the currency along the detainee was sent to Landi Kotal police station for further investigation.
