Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has accorded approval for giving risk allowance at Rs 9000 per month to the nurses. A summary was moved to the Chief Minister by Secretary Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education to the Chief Minister who accorded necessary approval in this regard. As per approval, the nurses would get Rs 4000 from January 2017 and Rs 9000 from July 2017.
A delegation of Nursing Association, led by its President Rozina Manzoor called on the Secretary Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education on Friday and thanked the Chief Minister Muhammad for according approval for risk allowance to the nurses. The nurses' delegation assured that they will work for the betterment of healthcare delivery system and provision of medical cover to the patients with dedication.
Najam Ahmed Shah said that the department is revising the yardstick for the bed, doctor and nurses ratio, which would also enhance the posts of doctors as well as nurses.
He observed that the real target is to ensure best healthcare facilities and quality medical cover to the patients and all steps are being taken in this regard.
