At least one man has been killed and another severely injured in a firing incident between two groups in a land dispute in the Kahi area of Hangu.
According to reports, two rival groups opened indiscriminate fire on each other over land dispute in Kahi, a village located 20 kilometres away from Hangu. As result, one person identified as Abdul Saeed died of gun shots on the spot while the other, Muhibullah was left seriously injured.
Both the dead and injured were rushed to a nearby local hospital for medical treatment. Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Police on Saturday arrested 25 suspects during a search operation at Charsadda's Sardero area.
According District Police Officer (DPO), police carried out search operation in various areas of Sardero after receiving inputs from the secret agencies about the presences of suspects in the area. During search operation, police arrested 25 suspects and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
The arrested suspects were shifted to undisclosed location and further investigation is on, say police officials.
