Dead bodies of all the victims who lost their lives on Wednesday as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in a casting shed of the Habib Construction Company working on the metro-train project had been identified and handed over to their heirs on Thursday. The deceased had been identified as Muhammad Sharif, 50, Muhammad Nadeen, 18, Dilawar Hussain, 19, Bilal Younas, 33, Waqar Younas, Qamar Abbas, 33, and Muhammad Sajid. On Wednesday, seven men died and several others injured due to the blast near Mahmood Booti interchange.
Sources in the police department said they were still investigating the matter whether the fire broke out naturally or someone was involved in this criminal act.
