Special persons have demanded of the provincial government to increase job quota from two to five percent along with free medical facility and monthly stipend. Addressing at a news press conference at press club here on Monday, Arifullah, a member of the disabled community said that the incumbent provincial government had failed to address the issues of the community.
Flanked by the community members, Amin Gul, Rashid and people with multiple disabilities, he said the provincial social welfare department is only extending facilities to few influential people and government employees instead of facilitate all disabled persons under uniform policy.
He urged the government to take practical initiatives for addressing problems being faced by special persons. Arifullah said that several people with disability had invented useful things and led the world. He said that it was the collective responsibility of the society and country to give special attention to People with disability. He urged government to increase the existing quota from two to five percent, besides provision of Rs 10,000 as monthly stipend and free health facility.
