ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Wednesday reinstated the Sharif family’s appeal challenging the Lahore High Court (LHC) decision to shift  three sugar mills from southern Punjab to central Punjab within three months.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar earlier in the day dismissed the appeal due to absence of counsel for the Ittefaq Sugar Mills, Sulman Akram Raja while counsel for the Waqas Sugar Mills was also not prepared to argue.

However, Sulman Akram Raja later arrived in the courtroom and requested the court to restore the appeal, which was acceded to.
