This was stated by District Agriculture Department Director Muhammad Ramzan Niazi here Tuesday.
He said that Rs25,000 interest-free loans were being provided to farmers for the Rabi crops and Rs40,000 for Kharif crops.
He said that growers were being registered for provision of subsidy and they would also be connected with Information Technology (IT) facilities through smart phones.
The registered farmers were being given smart phones through which agricultural loaning facilities along with weather reports, seed information, fertilisers and pest information would also be provided.
More than 2,200 smart phones have already been distributed among farmers in Kotmomin area, he added.
