According to an SC press release, the CJP requested the legal fraternity to attend the courts tomorrow (Monday) for the sake of dispensation of justice to litigants whose cases were already fixed for hearing in different courts.
Litigant parties would come from far flung areas to attend courts, therefore, the strike would not only suffer routine court proceedings but also hurt the expectations of people, he added.
It may be mentioned that all the bar councils have given strike call on April 16 in backdrop of firing incidents at the residence of Justice Ejaz ul Ahsan, Judge of Supreme Court, in Lahore.
