ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Affairs, Senator Dr Musadik Malik Friday said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for having an Iqama not on corruption charges.

Terming Nawaz Sharif an honest and righteous person, he said the name of Nawaz Sharif was not mentioned in panama papers and no evidence of money transition in his account was found during the case in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Talking to a private news channel, Musadik Malik said after the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in 2013, the conspirators started hatching conspiracies through protests or sit-ins to create hurdles in its way.

He said parliament was the forum for legislation but whenever the PML-N government had made any legislation to restore laws in their original shape, some undemocratic elements created obstacles.
