New province in south Punjab vital: Hashmi

MULTAN: Senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi Friday said the issue of new province in South Punjab was of vital importance as all political parties had supported the demand.

Addressing a press conference here, he said for the new province, he would talk to Mir Balakh Sher Mazari, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi. He would also talk to Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, he added.

Commenting on the Supreme Court verdict regarding on disqualification, Hashmi said he had been opposing Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution, but political parties did not abolish them.
