Speaking at the National Assembly, they paid rich tributes to those who gave immense sacrifices for the sanctity and protection of constitution.
MNA Syed Naveed Qamar said that this sacred document is vital for a strong democracy and peaceful, prosperous future of the country.
He said that parliament and parliamentarians played great role for supremacy of democratic institutions and praised the strong role of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto against dictatorship and for the cause of democracy.
He said that it was the significance of this strong constitution that despite presence of several dictatorship regimes, no one can harm this constitution of the country.
He added, it was the vision of Shaheed Bhutto who gathered all political parties on one agenda of making effective constitution and he got success in this regard.
MNA Capt (Rtd) Muhammad Safdar said that constitution of the country guarantees rights of citizens besides strengthening state and the parliament.
He said that PML-N has such members who signed the constitution of Pakistan in 1973. MNA Sahibzada Nazeer Sultan said that it was an honour for him being a signatory of the 1973 constitution.
He said credit goes to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who made this document non-controversial with the support of all political parties.
