Disappointed CJP reminds judges their duty of giving justice

Expressing his disappointment, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar wonders where are all the competent judges who used to hand out justice with wisdom.

Addressing an event held in Quetta, the CJP sternly reminded the judges that the law by the Supreme Court (SC) should be in their sleeves and it was their duty to apply that law and give justice.

He further said that when cases come to SC, he is shocked that the principles of the rejection of the plate by the courts were being ignored. He said binding laws by the SC were being ignored. The CJP reminded the judges that they had been given a profession that gave them respect.

The CJP sternly asserted that if the judges were not fulfilling their responsibility they would become sinners for their future generation. He added that the judges should fight for people's justice.
