Whereas, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed scored 17.4 points in the same fitness test. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan topped with a score of 21, while middle order batsman Asad Shafiq scored 20 points. Alam, who is known for his consistency in domestic cricket, maintains a first class average of 55.37. During the last domestic season, Alam scored 570 runs in 10 first-class matches at an average of 40.71 and strike rate of 63.12. On the other hand, the National Selection Committee - headed by Inzamam ul Haq - has shortlisted the 25-member squad for the initial Test camp starting from April 11 to April 15 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore prior the tour of Ireland and England.
