Delegation of Karachi Chairmen Ittehad calls on Sindh Governor
KARACHI: A 39-member delegation of Karachi Chairmen Ittehad of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) called on Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair at the Governor's House here on Tuesday.
Representatives of MQM-Pakistan, PML-N, Awami National Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), and Jammat-e-Islami were among the members of the delegation, said a statement.
The delegation appealed to the Governor that the projects be also included in the Karachi Development Package at union council level so as to provide facilities to the people at the grassroots level.
Talking to the delegation, the Sindh Governor said that all stakeholders should work jointly to develop the metropolis at par with the modern standard.
He said that the elected representatives can play their significant role in further promotion and strengthening the trade and economic activities in the city.
He called upon the elected representatives of the local government to present their suggestions with regard to resolution to the problems of the masses and the federal government will extend every possible support in this regard.
