Pakistan former fast bowler hit out at national team's bowling unit, especially Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali, for their performance in the second T20I against the Kiwis.

"Amir was bowling upto 144kmph today but why is this pace not in One Day Internationals?" questioned Akhtar, quoted PakPassion. Meanwhile, Akhtar said Ali looked tired to him, adding that he used to bowl a huge chunk of overs, while picking up wickets as well.

"Ali seems to be a victim of tiredness. How many Pakistani bowlers in the past five years have bowled exceptionally and taken five wickets. I used to bowl 150kph and I bowled 450 overs in one season," Akhtar said.

However, the record setting Akhtar praised leg spinner Yasir Shah and said that the leggie has all the tools in the kit for T20 cricket. "Shah was a better bowler in T20, I can say this with confidence that I have seen him bowl in T20s. He can bowl quicker, his ball skids, his flipper is good and can break the ball also," Akhtar said.

Pakistan tasted their first success of the tour after demolishing New Zealand by 48 runs in their chase of 201 runs, in the second T20I played at Auckland on Thursday. With the series 1-1, the decider third T20I would be played on Sunday at Bay Oval.
