Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif conducted a press conference on Tuesday night, along with Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and father of seven-year-old Zainab, who was raped and later found dead in a pile of garbage days after being kidnapped.

Even though Sharif announced at the presser that the alleged murderer of the girl has been arrested, the CM came under fire on Twitter for turning off Zainab's father's mic while he was speaking at the press conference.

The CM thanked the officials, civilian and military intelligence agencies for their efforts and success in finding out the alleged culprit, Imran, in 14 days. Addressing the presser, the CM further on praised the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, saying that without it the suspect would not have been caught if they had not conducted his DNA test for the second time.

The CM said that if it was up to him, he would publicly hang the suspect at the square chowk. Shehbaz also appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to ensure that Zainab's murder case is heard at a fast pace.

The people, however, did not entirely seem satisfied with the way Shehbaz and Sanaullah handled the presser, with Zainab's father sitting with them.

Twitterites slammed the CM for turning off and removing the mic of the girl's father, not giving him any further chance to speak or answer questions. People were not happy with this and many took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
