Akhtar not interested to coach Pakistan but ‘available for advice’
Pakistan former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that he is not interested in coaching the national cricket team, unlike his peers. "I am living an easy life, don’t have many ambitions. I am always available for advice [for Pakistan team] but getting into a full-time job is not something I am looking at,” said Akhtar, quoted PTI. Akhtar, who broke several records during his career and was arguably the fastest bowler in the cricketing history, wishes to enjoy fatherhood and spend time with his young son. "I just want to sit back and watch my son grow up. I don’t think he will become a cricketer, I think he will become an actor," he said. Many former cricketing greats, including Waqar Younis, Javed Miandad and Zaheer Abbas, have been involved in full-time coaching Pakistan. The Rawalpindi Express, who is involved in media industry nowadays, will be seen at St. Moritz Ice Cricket in Switzerland next month.
