According to Agriculture Officer Abdul Majid, so far 7,859 samples have been collected against a target of 14,630 samples from various areas of the district.
He said the samples had been forwarded to soil and water testing laboratories and after receiving complete tests the concerned land owners would be provided guidelines for enhancing production after adopting steps briefed by the agriculture department on soil tests basis.
