Umar Amin replaces recovering Malik for final ODI
Left-handed batsman Umar Amin, has replaced injured middle order batsman Shoaib Malik for the fifth ODI against New Zealand on Friday at Wellington. The decision comes after consultation between Head Coach Mickey Arthur, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq. Malik, who was struck by a ball on the back of his head while taking a run, during the first inning of the fourth ODI against New Zealand on Tuesday, has not made full recovery yet. “Shoaib Malik is doing better after sustaining a delayed concussion during the last ODI in Hamilton. However, he has not made a full recovery to be available for selection in the Wellington ODI", said Pakistan Team Physiotherapist, Vib Singh, quoted PCB. Earlier it was learnt that Sarfraz and company had a tough training session in Willington and Umar Amin was part of the session as they reached New Zealand for the T20 series. Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik stayed in the hotel for rest.
