Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan Sunday presented Pakistan Civil Awards to 27 recipients at an impressive ceremony held at the Governor House here.
The ceremony was attended, among others, by Caretaker Chief Minister former Justice Abdul Qadir Halepota, members of caretaker Sindh Cabinet, representatives of Armed Forces, senior government officials and notables.
The Governor decorated eight with Sitara-e-Imtiaz, seven with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and 12 with President's Awards for Pride of Performance. The recipients of Sitara-e-Imtiaz included Professor Dr Mohammed Ajmal Khan, Director Institute of Sustainable Halophyte Utilisation, University of Karachi; Professor Dr A.Q.K. Rajput, Vice-Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro; Professor Dr Matin Ahmed Khan, Life Research Professor and Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Hamdard Institute of Management Sciences Karachi; Shaikh Mohammed Munir, Chairman Din Group of Industries Karachi; Mian Zahid Hussain, Group Chief Executive, Kenlubes International Karachi; Liquat Habib Merchant, Liquat Merchant Associates, Karachi; Pirzada Syed Inquilab Matri, Chief Editor Daily Millat Karachi; Khawaja Iqbal Hassan, President and CEO NIB Bank Karachi.
