KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49013.82 points with a positive change of 371.61 and volume of 208,548,420 shares.

High and Low were 49065.33 and 48642.21 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 456,497,830 shares with 409 total traded companies out of which 274 were up 118 were down and 17 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 56,746,700 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 47,922,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were B.O.Punjab. with a volume of 32,774,500 and price per share of 17.91 (0.13), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 29,852,500 of price per share of 9.45 (0.03), Dost Steels Ltd... with a volume 22,460,000 of price per share of 14.12 (0.62).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4832.50 (83.50), Ghandhara Ind. with price per share of 1131.63 (53.85) and Millat Tractors.. share of 1108.99 (52.80).

The top three decliners were Bata (Pak) with price per share of 3992.20 (-210.10), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2596.39 (-125.61) and Siemens Pak.XD share of 1171.10 (-49.68).
