ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday extended the stay order of barring Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf from working, till June 24.

A single-judge bench of Justice Shoukat Siddiqui issued these directives while hearing a petition filed by Army cricket team's former coach, Major (retd) Ahmad Nadeem Sadal through advocates Faiz Ahmed Cheema and Chaudhry Tanvir Hunjra against the selection of Zaka Ashraf as Chairman PCB.

During the course of hearing an official of the ministry of inter-provincial coordination apprised the bench that three names have been sent to the concerned authorities for the appointment of acting PCB chairman which includes Majid Khan,Chishti Mujahid and Mumtaz Rizvi as per the court orders.

Faiz Ahmed Cheema, counsel for petitioner apprised the bench that the election held on May 8, 2013 for Chairman Cricket Board was against the constitution of the Board.

Cheema said that the so-called election was not properly advertised and apparently the entire process took place in a clandestine manner.

After hearing the arguments of both counsel the bench directed the ministry of IPC to appoint acting chairman within two days and adjourned the hearing till June 24.
