PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Health, Shaukat Ali Yusufzai has said that relief activities were in full swing in the flood-affected areas and funds have been transferred to the accounts of the Deputy Commissioners of the affected districts for the evacuation, rehabilitation and relief of the affectees.

Talking to media during his visit to the affected areas of districts Peshawar and Charsadda along with Speaker, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Asad Qaiser, here Saturday he said the govt has the firm resolve to cope up with the damages of flood and it is ready for any situation any time. Secretary Information, Azmat Hanif Orakzai, DC Peshawar, Javed Marwat, Director Information, Bahramand Khan and representatives of PDMA & District Administration of both the districts were also present. The Minister maintained that purpose of their visit to the affected areas was to apprise themselves of the problems and grievances of the affectees and to evolve a permanent mechanism to safeguard these areas from the damages of flood in future.
