Excise & tax department achieves highest recovery target

KHANEWAL: Excise and Taxation department Khanewal achieved highest recovery targets in Punjab in the wake of property tax, token tax, registration fee, motorcycle vehicle tax, excise fee, recreational tax, professional tax, cotton tax and hotel tax.

The total tax amount being collected at the district level was Rs 149,249,160.

A spokesman of Excise & Taxation told APP here, he said the total recovery target was Rs 171,217,860 out of which 87 % had been achieved.

Ch Fakhar Hussain claimed, hundred percent net targets will be achieved at the end of June, 2013. He praised the role of Excise and Tax department officials for collection of pending taxes.
