Interim govt committed to maintain peace: Habib

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Interior, Malik Habib Wednesday said that caretaker government was committed to maintain peace and tranquility in the country.

The government was coordinating with all provinces to maintain law and order situation across the country, he said.

Talking to a private TV channel, Malik Habib appreciated the performance of law enforcement agencies during electoral process.

He said that media played positive role to build up confidence of people, adding that maximum people participated in polls with zeal and zest.

Replying to a question, he said that Director General (DG), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will be functioning during the time period of interim setup.
