LAHORE: A Lahore High Court full bench Thursday disposing of a petition seeking the cancellation of the All Pakistan Muslim League's registration directed petitioner to approach the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECO) for the purpose.

The petition was filed by petitioner-counsel Afaq Ahmad , submitting that since former president and head of the APML, Pervez Musharraf had been permanently disqualified from contesting general elections, his party's registration should also be cancelled.

He said a disqualified person could not head a political party. The petitioner asked the court to direct the ECP to cancel the APML's registration.
