LHC issues notice to Ogra, Pepco

LAHORE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court Thursday issued a notice to the registrar Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority and the chief executive Pakistan Electric Power Company for May 7 on intra court appeals against a LHC single bench order in fuel adjustment charges case.

The division bench headed by LHC chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial issued the notice on appeals filed by Lahore Electric Supply Company and Faisalabad Electric Supply Company.

The petitioners' through their petitions assailed exemption of fuel adjustment charges to domestic consumers using upto 350 units of electricity.

It is pertinent to mention that the bench had stayed refunding of fuel adjustment charges received from domestic consumers using upto 350 units of electricity.
