China Q1 preliminary current account surplus at $55.2bn

BEIJING: China posted a current account surplus of $55.2 billion in the first quarter of 2013, preliminary data from the country's foreign exchange regulator showed on Thursday.

China had a $101.8 billion surplus in its capital and financial account in the first quarter, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).
