Two Russians on chopper in Afghan landing: company

KABUL: Two Russian crew members were on board a chartered helicopter which made an emergency landing in eastern Afghanistan, the charter firm said on Monday.

Afghan officials said earlier Monday the passengers and crew were seized by Taliban insurgents after the helicopter landed on Sunday evening in Logar province south of Kabul.

The company said it had no information about what happened to the passengers and crew.
