China retail sales grew 12.6pc in March

BEIJING: China's retail sales, the main gauge of consumer spending in the world's second-biggest economy, rose 12.6 percent year-on-year in March, the government said Monday.

Retail sales also increased 12.4 percent in the first quarter compared to 2012, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
