FPCCI Capital Office would promote trade activities: Malik

LAHORE: The capital office of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Islamabad would augment liaison and coordination with foreign trade missions and embassies.

Speaking as chief guest at a ceremony in the honour of FPCCI Zonal Chairman Azhar Saeed Butt, co-chairman businessman panel and VP SAARC CCCI Iftikhar Ali Malik here Monday said that FPCCI at its annual general body meeting with new chief Zubair Ahmad Malik, accorded the approval.

He added that a state of the art research and development cell will also be established to meet requirements of trade organisations.

He said that it was need of the hour to set up an office where all embassies and foreign mission are located, adding that now it will be quite easy for FPCCI to have one on one interaction with ambassadors and heads of foreign trade missions to promote trade activities.

Iftikhar said that FPCCI will invite all foreign trade mission heads to its capital office and arrange their meetings with Pak exporters and importers.

He said that capital office will benefit Pak business community to further establish business links with other foreign markets. Newly appointed FPCCI Zonal Chairman, VP FPCCI, Azhar Saeed Butt while speaking on the occasion expressed his gratitude for the business community, especially new leadership of FPCCI, for reposing confidence in him as zonal chairman.

He said that the interests of corporate sectors and traders will be safeguarded and their genuine problems will be solved on top priority.

He said that he belongs to trader group and will live upto their expectations.

President FPCCI Zubair Ahmad Malik and other federation VPs Naveed Jan Bolch, Gulzar Feroz, Shaheen Illays Sarwana, Khawaja Muhammad Iqbal, Zafar Jalil Khan, Abdul Khaliq, Rukhsana Jehangir, veteran trade leader SM Munir and Tariq Sayyed greeted Azhar Saeed Butt on assuming the office of Zonal Chairman, FPCCI.
