PESHAWAR: The Met Office here Wednesday predicted rain with thunderstorm at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions of Khyber Pakthunkhwa during next 24 hours.

According to Met Office here, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country whereas a trough of shallow westerly wave is also prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

In next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however rain-thunderstorm is likely to lash isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The weather of Abbottabad, Swat and Malakand districts will remain cloudy with chances of rain in the aforesaid period. However, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during last 48 hours.

Rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds occurred at isolated places of Upper Punjab including Islamabad, Upper Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Upper Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in last 24 hours.

Pattan has received maximum 25mm rain followed by Lasbella 13, Kalam 12, Dir & Parachinar 10, Rawalpindi 06, Rawalakot 04, Saidu Sharif, Islamabad, Malamjabba, Murree & Chakwal 03, Larkana, Moenjodharo, Jehlum & Mangla 02, Kohat, Okara, Karachi, Kakul, Hunza & M.B Din 01 mm in last 24 hours.

Turbat and Benazirabad remained the hottest places where 38 degree centigrade and 37 C temperature was recorded respectively. Pollen count yesterday remained 1,145 per cubic meter.
