The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) arranged participation of seven leading exporters of fabrics in the Intertextile Fair.
The fair is being attended by 16 countries from Europe and Asia. Another 29 Pakistani textile companies have set up their stalls displaying textile related products.
On the inauguration day, Ambassador Masood Khalid, along-with Commercial Counselor Riaz Ahmed Shaikh visited the exhibition and the Pakistani stalls.
The Ambassador exchanged views with businessmen on overall business prospects in China for Pakistani textile products and specific areas of interest for exhibitors.
He urged the Pakistani exporters to take full advantage of the vast market opportunities available in China and asked them to pursue a proactive marketing strategy.
The Ambassador assured them full cooperation of the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing in encouraging and enhancing the export of Pakistan?s textile products to China. Last year, Pakistan exported textiles and textile articles worth US $ 2.1 billion to China.
